- 『천리마』 잡지에서의 박태원 역사서사물의 대중성과 예술성 -
이 글은 『천리마』에 실린 박태원의 역사서사물을 통해 잡지가 지향하는 바와 박태원 역사문학의 의미를 살펴보았다. 또한 선행연구에서 미처 다루지 못한 박 태원의 역사서사물을 발굴하고 박태원 작가가 창작한 역사 이야기가 매체를 접 하는 대중에게 전유되는 방식을 살펴보았다. 북한 잡지는 시의성 있는 주제를 중심으로 기사를 편성하지만 인민대중의 호응을 유도하고 교양학습의 일환으로 역사물을 장려한다. 사회주의적 근대화시 기에 역사적 시공간을 택한 박태원 역사서사물은 천리마운동 시기의 현장을 반 영하면서 그 역사적 원천을 되돌아보게 한다. ｢조국을 위하여｣는 사회주의 조국애의 의미를 되새기고 ｢들끓는 만호장안｣ 과 ｢부랑｣은 북한의 천리마운동 시기 북한의 자립노선의 의미를 상기시키면서 중간계층과 여성 인물의 영웅화를 통해 ‘천리마기수’ 전형론에 근접해 있다. 『계명산천은 밝아오느냐』는 권력에 맞서는 인민의 봉기 형태를 통해 사회주의 적 근대화 시기 천리마운동에서 중시하는 집단적 영웅주의 정신을 부각시킨다. 그의 역사이야기는 추상적인 사상이나 개념 대신 생생한 산 인간의 경험과 이상을 제시하고 역사적 현실이라는 구체성에 과거와 현재의 보편적 가치를 찾 는 의미를 지닌다. 그의 역사소설에는 불기의 정신을 통해 좌절하지 않고 새로 운 사회로 변혁시키고자 하는 인물들이 등장하는데 이러한 집단적 꿈은 천리마 운동 시기와 병치된다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때 북한잡지에서의 그의 역사서사물 은 대중성과 예술성을 겸비한다.
Popularity and Artistry of Park Tae-won’s Historical Narratives in the Magazine Chollima
This study examines the role of historical description in socialist modern media, focusing on Park Tae-won’s historical literature. In addition, the composition and editing methods of early Chollima which has not been studied. This research method is of significance in that it provides the clues that can reveal the characteristics and meaning of the era of ‘magazine’ through the ‘historical literature’. Also, in the sense of the modernity of the magazine, it has significance as an empirical study that can complete the map of historical literature of Park Tae-won. For the Fatherland reminds us of the meaning of socialist love for the country, while Breaking in the Wild and Burang remind us of the meaning of North Korea’s self-reliance path during the Chollima Movement in North Korea, which is close to the typology. Through the form of people’s uprising against power, Is the dawn coming? highlights the spirit of collective heroism emphasized by the Chollima Movement during the socialist modernization period. Park’s historical works were introduced in magazines and interesting contents and additional information were presented along with illustrations, which made Park’s works more familiar to readers. In the era of Chollima, Park’s historical literature gained artistry and popularity when it was published in Rodongshinmun, Chollima and Munhakshinmun. In Chollima, practical and interesting articles were published for the purpose of public education and public response. This study examines the aspects of North Korean media creating a culture suitable for the socialist system so that the public can enjoy socialist culture by analyzing the Chollima’s format, contents utilization, and editing techniques.
